Contact TAIWAN held the "2025 One-on-One Employment Meetings for Foreign and Overseas Compatriot Students -Taipei Session" on September 25 at the Taipei International Convention Center. A total of 45 companies—including Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn), Delta Electronics, Kenmec Mechanical Engineering, ASUS, Unimicron, Keding Enterprises, and T-Global Technology—participated in the event. Through one-on-one interviews, the event helped enterprises connect with professional talents with cross-cultural backgrounds while enabling outstanding foreign and overseas compatriot students to explore suitable career opportunities in Taiwan. In total, 362 interview sessions were conducted.
To gain deeper insights into the perspectives of foreign professionals working in Taiwan and understand corporate expectations when recruiting international talent, Contact TAIWAN conducted on-site interviews with companies such as Kenmec Mechanical Engineering, Panasonic Taiwan, Unimicron, and T-Global Technology, as well as foreign and overseas compatriot students from various countries. Discussions focused on their industry preferences, perceptions of Taiwan’s strengths as a career destination, and their expectations for the matching event.
Many participating students expressed strong interest in pursuing career opportunities in Taiwan. They noted that working in Taiwan allows them to build solid professional experience, and joining internationally competitive industries—such as semiconductors—would further enhance their technical expertise and global competitiveness.
On the corporate side, many employers shared that international talent provides valuable diverse perspectives and cross-cultural communication strengths. In an era of global expansion, such talent plays a key role in driving corporate internationalization, helping companies enter overseas markets and strengthen their global talent strategies.
